Gig whore

gigiloI’m not exactly what you’d call a “gig whore”, but I have been lucky enough to have a lot of interest in my band this year. And so I’ve (perhaps foolishly) agreed to do several recurring gigs in 2016.

Fundamental Forces will beholding down 3 “residencies” this year. First and foremost, we’ll be continuing our 3+ year bi-monthly hangs at Vito’s on First Hill. We play every other first Thursday. Secondly, we’ll be playing a bi-monthly at Capitol Cider that alternates with the Vito’s gigs. Lastly, we’ll be doing a 3 month residency at The Substation starting in March. The dates shake out as follows:

  • Thu. 03-03-16 Vito’s 9 pm
  • Sun. 03-13-16 Capitol Cider 5:30 pm
  • Wed. 03-16-16 Substation 9 pm
  • Sun. 04-10-16 Capitol Cider 5:30 pm
  • Wed. 04-20-16 Substation 9 pm
  • Thu. 05-05-16 Vito’s 9 pm
  • Wed. 05-18-16 Substation 9 pm

I hope to see you at one of these shows! Please flag me down and say “Hi”!

Ya’ll is so nice!

Here are some excerpts from a couple of new reviews of “Green”. Thanks ya’ll.

From All About Jazz:

“From the opening phrases of the first tune, “Contradiction,” the band demonstrates its intensity and ability to blow hard, but also that it can engage in dynamic conversation.”

And from the  Gapplegate Music Review:

“I suppose you could say that this still dwells in a mainstream matrix not untypical of what is coming to our ears today, but there is a something extra, an increased presence of combustible energy and eloquence, and an ever more substantial quality”
